We are going to buy a LED transilluminator for our laboratory, but we usually use EtBr, I want to know how accurate these transilluminators are?

I mean, can these transilluminators show the stained genetic materials as long as 50 to 100 bp like UV transilluminators?

I've heard that it's better to use nucleic acid gel stains like GelRed or SYBRsafe and etc. when we are working with LED transilluminators. Is it right?

I'd be thankful if you share your experiences with these transilluminators.
