The first of its kind across Iraq and Kurdistan Region, this is an exciting time for me and for our fellow researchers as the launch of this new journal dedicated to the field of TESOL and Applied Linguistics has been long my dream come true to be launched in the region. The launch of this journal is a proper and dire need for the TESOL and Applied Linguistics researchers and community around the region. TESOL Today will serve as a publication intended for researchers in Kurdistan, Iraq and the rest of the world as well.
The founders of TESOL Today are dedicated and determined to the establishment of a high-quality international journal in the field. Our overarching goal is to be an international reputable journal that will be highly respected among the TESOL and Applied Linguistics community across the globe. That said, my colleagues and I do hope to achieve our goals within a relatively reasonable short period of time as I am fully supported by an excellent group of people which makes me convinced that we will be a desirable journal in the field of English language in education. I am truly excited to have this amazing opportunity to lead the journal as the Editor-in-Chief. Once again, I look forward to receiving original research articles from both local and international researchers in the field.

TESOL = ? Nevertheless, I have forwarded your info to colleagues in Kazakhstan who are philologists in Astana and Almaty, respectively. I have read there, at the Eurasian Gumilyov University and the Al Fahrabi University, my program 'Science - Language - Society'. Its 2 pillars are
1) "Language who creates and thinks for you" (Friedrich Schiller),
2) '1984' and 'LTI' (En: Language of the Third Reich).
