We need materials to manifacturing diffrerent lasers at different optical frequencies in order to be coded and transported via optical fibers and decoded at the end to be used in telephone , television and others applications such as printing systems.

If you want to create lasers in the classical 1310 / 1550 nm optical window, the "usual suspects" are well-known (components: Al, Ga, In, As, N, P). A bit of search on RG or the web will come up with a number of "recipes", many of them license-free these days. This is standard technology.
BTW: the optical wavelength is a function of the components selec5ed and the exact "mixing ration".
