Lake Victoria in Uganda: the best practice of protecting ecosystems, biodiversity, sustainability?

Hello,

I will spend some time in Kampala and Entebbe and surrounding areas in a few weeks. I am very interested in Sub-Saharan countries' geography and global challenges, so I would love to visit some examples of best practices near Victoria Lake. Some places show examples of how to protect local ecosystems; sustainable livelihoods; sustainable water management; climate resilience... What place could be interesting and inspiring for a short excursion? Any recommendation? Thank you very much!
