Is any work describing about synthesis of SrO2 thin film. I have synthesized SrO2 thin film by spray technique. To literature review i came to know that there are no papers available for the synthesis of this compound. i have some anamolies in my results. one, the XRD shows different patterns. which is shown. can you plz explain and cite me references for this.
Dear s. Visweswaran are you sure that you are talking about the compound SrO2 (= strontium peroxide)?

s. Visweswaran I think, the only peak originated from your sample is that broad peak which is between 15-40 (2theta). I suspect the other sharp peaks are from machine (background noise etc). [And you are mistakenly attributing them with the lattice planes]. A reason why i am pretty sure that those peaks are not from the sample is: they show extreme sharpness... even when heated at 400C [which is not normal especially when you already have a peak with the breath of 20degree (i.e. between 15-40 2theta). You can remove these peaks using the XRD software... removing them will leave you only single Broadpeak which is consistent in your samples..... afterwards you can make some reasonable discussion on the crystallographic attributes of your sample. {Repeating the XRD runs is also a good option}.
