I found that the impact factor of most of the reputed and well-known journals has increased sharply in JCR, 2021 compared to earlier JCRs. How it will impact the peer review process of those journals. Will publishing in those journals become more difficult now?

You are absolutely right. The increase in the Impact Factors of the journals was, at least, impressive. Perhaps this due to the increase of the number of the journals available to someone, in order to publish its research work. Traditional leading journals in a field have now a clear distance (in terms of IF) from those recently added in SCI ISI. I am afraid that publishing in the leading journals will become a harder task, after this increase...
