1. I read some journal articles and also questions regarding the solvent of DPPH stock solution in the question section provided in this website. Mostly the journal articles and the answer prefer methanol as the solvent of stock solution., However I still cant find the journal that support the evidence that methanol is a better solvent for DPPH scavenging activity (in my case, compared to ethanol). Can anyone refer the journal that can support this statement?
2. I understand the terms of stock solution, blank solution and sample solution in DPPH scavenging assay. But, I found also 'standard solution' in some journal regarding DPPH assay. What 'standard solution' refer to in terms of DPPH assay?

Methanol as solvent and gallic acid solution as standard may be better.
I always used ethanol without any problem.
For standard solution, I use Trolox as most of papers
