I am looking at the levels of a few endogenous proteins in these cells but have heard that the size and shape of the cell can effect the amount out protein in the cells. There for I am looking for a marker in the cell which I can make everything relative to. I know it is common to use beta actin in western blots and such as a loading control- but in staining it would surely cover much of the cell?
