Please suggest some standard pocedurte for isolation of polyethylene degrading bacteria from soil and water sample. Standard media and polythene sample is varying in different articles besides the incubation time and enrichment process.

Let me tell you that polyethylene basically can not be degraded biologically. However, you still can get isolates of microorganisms which does seem to grow on these polymers. Actually these organisms are carrying tertiary or cometabolism of some of the additives that are added to polythelene to convert it into the products.
