Is using NVIVO for my literature review going to make my life easier or more complicated?
NVIVO has very good strength in supporting qualitative data analysis as well as functions to manage your research contents, deposited artifacts & data, reviewed materials & articles etc. that you'd done during literature review. The articles management function has similarity as in Mendeley etc. If you get us to NVIVO, perhaps you can stick to it for article management during literature review. Alternatively, you can also use simple Excel to keep track of your reviewed articles - you can see the following RG link for a sample Such tracking can help you to summarize & synthesize what you'd reviewed & what salients articles / points you should cite to justify your "argument" in your thesis / article writeup.
