Hi, do you know anything about these series of conferences:
International Conference on Psychology & Language Research
I am tempted by the 6th ICPLR 2018 - International Conference on Psychology & Language Research (Portugal), 24 May – 25 May, 2018-
It can be found on many lists and I thought of applying but they seem to hold too many a year and the organizers seem to be in India, the fee is significant 300 dolars plus 15 dolars admin fee and I am a bit worried whether it is genuine or not. Please help. I feel a bit naive here.

It looks very suspicious. They seem to be holding at least 5-10 conferences this year alone, for starters. And who are the organizers? Unfortunately there are quite a few fake conferences being offered these days. The very worst ones just trick you into paying a fake hotel & never get held at all. Most do take place, but none of the prominent names they tout are involved, few people show up, and the overall intellectual tone is very low. I would recommend sticking with the conferences organized by known scientific societies in your field - whether that is a psychology specialty, psycholinguistics, or something else. Has anyone heard about Australian Academy of Business Leadership and their conferences? I was thinking to apply for the following conference organized by AABL, but not sure how genuine the conference is. There so many conference scams going around.
