I'm plannning to investigate the relationship between mitochondrial mass/function and epithelial homeostasis/differentiation.

Are there any activators(drug) of mitochondria interms of amount or function?

Or any supportive reagents?

For function, I will focus on the membrane potential within the inner membrane of mitochodria. The membrane potential drives the ATP synthesis eventually.
