Hi all, I am conjugating 15kDa protein with 4.6kbp plasmid but dont know how to confirm the conjugation. is there any way to find out, I dont want to use fluorescence tag or anything. Normal protein with plasmid.
You can run an agrose gel with EtBr for detection of a plasmid from solution of your conjugated products. Make sure that your conjugated product should be pure and free from non-conjugated plasmids.
This works for me to detect RNAs, which are encapsidated by virus-like particles.
thank you but I want to distinguish between conjugated and nonconjugated plasmid itself. My question was whether I can see a gel shift between conjugated and nonconjugated plasmid?
