It is easier to perform and assess the CISH results (chromogenic in situ hybridization) with Y-chromosome (Y-CISH) probe (ZytoDot CEN Y probe (ZytovVision GmbH, Germany) on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue.
There is a recent publication, in press, on this topic:
Y-Chromosome Status Identification Suggests a Recipient Origin of Post-Transplant Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinomas: Chromogenic in situ Hybridization Analysis. Hum Pathol. 2014 In Press
Thanks Angel for your information. Im using cryosection pancreatic tissue section for Y- chromosome . I just start this experiment did three time but didn't got any result yet. Kindly let me know What you will suggest formalin fixed paraffin-embedded or Cryo- sectioning tissue section?
I have no experience in cryosections. I have worked in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues, and the FISH probe for Y-chromosome works great, and it is very easy to evaluate the results.
