I have extracted DNA from a plant endemic to Ethiopia(Thymus schimperi). I want to Asses the molecular diversity using SNP marker. Any one interested in collaborating in this regard is highly welcomed.
I am interested to detect the genetic variation and the relationship among different populations of T. schimperi and identify characteristic molecular markers specific to some populations and to detect the possible influence of geographic distribution on the genetic variation. I have 180 individual samples collected from nine mountain systems which can be considered as 9 population.
If you have already done the SNP genotyping, I can help you with statistical analysis.
Overall genetic diversity, diversity within and between population and isolation by distance over geographic distance which certainly lead to a very good publication.
Actually I don't have the SNP genotyping that can be used for analysis. That was my request for those who could collaborate in doing the analysis using SNP marker.
I hope you could help me the analysis for ISSR-PCR data, what I am doing currently.
I don't have the NGS data. There is no previous molecular work done in this crop other than essential oils related researches. so what do suggest i could do in this regard.
I would go for any technology which does not required a draft sequence to identify SNP, IDP to be used with a relevant technology for this kind of markers. For e.g. DArTseq, GBS...
