A preprint of one of my articles was seen by enough predatory journals so that I had several dozens of requests to submit an article (some requests allowed me to submit the same article that was already in preprint) to their journal. One of the offers paid enough attention to detail that I fell for it. I believed it was respectable (as respectable as a predatory journal can be, which is not great but hopefully not dishonest) because so much attention was paid to detail in the communications between us. It turns out that I paid about $1200 for a page charge, just to find out that an imposter was pretending to represent the journal. Is there any way for me to report this thing to alert other people about this scam?
