SmaI is blunt end cutter and EcoRI makes sticky ends. There will not be any problem in ligation. Good luck

For efficient ligation, you shud go for conditions that favour blunt end ligation rather than sticky end ligations. So ligate at between 14-16C for 12-16 hours if using invitrogen's HC ligase. These will favour both blunt and sticky end ligations
