Perception of TBLT is significant because perception changes the attitude and readiness to use something. But how to measue the perception of TBLT among high school English teacher.
I think you need to clarify whose perception you point to. If it is the lerarner's, still more specification is required whetheryo mean task complexity/difficulty, task achievement, task engagement. Norrowing down such construct would certainly give more robustness to you research endeavor.
recently I published a chapter that you can find in my profile. Basicaly, I tried to find out the perceptions of ESP learners about a project-based activity. I believe the scale I developed for that purpose would provide insight for you.
The concept "perception" is ambiguous. Is it auditory , the comprehension... If it is auditory, I have researches in this topic in the language teaching.

There are a number of versions about TBLT nowadays. If you want to use a more comprehensive one, you had better learn the versions, make your own and have experts judgment and peer review.
