I am doing my dissertation with topic: Estimation of exhaust emissions from ship`s auxiliary engines at berth. Case study : Piraeus Port.

I am thinking on justifying this research to see if the current national Greek regulations and the MARPOL regulations serve their purpose or they need to be reconsidered.

My issue is that I am not basing my emissions calculations to the fuel consumption but the engine power used with this equation: EB=TB× (AE×LFAE×EFAE) and as i have seen the MARPOL regulations have to to with the fuel consumption. Any suggestions on where can I find regulations that have to do with the emitted levels and not the fuel consumption?

I am aiming the estimation of exhaust emissions (NOx, PM2.5 and SOx).

Please let me know if you have any recommendations as my professors do not have any information about this topic.

Thank you in advance for your time and answers.
