The whole world is in a mess and paused. We all are tired of seeing hypermasculinized and destructive leaderships all around us. This world has seen enough of the aggressive patriarchal social system and neo-liberal economic system. I believe we all need to wake up to make an alternative care system to protect our communities and our loving planet. As an alternative, here are the seeds for change, we need to start to think about the matriarchy social system; Indigenous models of governance, gentle power, love, humanity, care for each other, and solidarity. Why cannot world and community leaders be gentle? Where did ethics of care go? It is needless to say that we have the answers. We all know that masculinity is socially constructed and it is destroying most of the gentle power from our planet !!
Striving for power, influence and money is very often emerging against ethics of care.
Indeed more rarely than often the leaders remain gentle in all societies - be it totalitarian, be it autocratic, or be it market and democracy oriented society. Simply the latter system does not allow to be openly cruel and despotic. One of the reasons for that is competition in any society for power, influence and money.
Such leaders as Mahatma Gandhi or Olof Palme were more like exceptions rather than usual cases. Feminization of leadership is one of possible alternatives against aggressive masculinization, dear Jebunnessa.
Dear Doctor, once again my warmest regards. I do not agree with you in your assessment that world leaders are not friendly, the first thing is that I would like you to differentiate between a leader and a Chief. They are two different concepts, Mahatma Gandhi was a leader, D. Trump a Chief. They could cite hundreds of examples, I know authentic leaders who respond to their communities who gave their lives for their cause and lived for their peoples. Those who dedicate themselves to politics to get rich cannot be kind, those who enter that world so sacrificed to serve good causes are kind to others, they are capable of giving everything for their peoples.

I think the society in which we are living is a patriarchal society . people think in a very different manners .I thing it's a need of time we first check ourselves what we are doing in our own domain's then we can rise question towards others because, some how we are lacking in our responsibilities. Yes I say it's need of time and responsibility of leaders to take better step for the betterment of country because ,without good leader country can't survive in batter ways .it's my personal opinion.
Dear brother you raised a valid and an important issue but the problem is that our mostly international leaders have become the puppit and dummies of international Mafias. These Mafiase may be in the disguise of secular, political , religious and the capitalistic slogans promoters. The fair intent and the will for peace and freedom are the cure for this tyrant system of the world.
In my opinion it’s not all on the leaders, if we’re gonna blame it should be to everyon. Leaders wants power positions, money they would do anything for that not all the same some want the power for the chnage for the sake of people and so do normal People they have their own desires, and they have different perspective, mentalities.
In every political system the power within the leader is different from one to another which make it hard to know who to blame.
what I believe in is “leader always do what they want them to do” because they know they might lose what they have if they disagree or refused.
