i am working on natural fibers, and in their XRD pattern i am getting 2 peaks. First is at 15.822 degree and second is at 22.1503 degree of 2 theta. yet the intensity is low after convolution (80 at first and 180 at 2nd peak). And the software is also not showing any values for h,k and l too. How to analyze this?

I have a critical question about Cellulose Nanofiber (CNF) sample preparation for XRD.
If I have Cellulose Nanofiber gel (~ 98-99% water), is it true to use the same gel (liquid) for XRD analysis or it should be dried (freeze drying or something else)?
If it must be dried (e.g. freeze-dried), then it must be well-powdered? "Because if I don't make it powdered, ==> the ups and downs part of freeze-dried gel surface (the roughness) (foam-like), make error in XRD analysis" XRD operator told me.
I'd appreciate it if you could guide me.
