There ahs always been some suspicion for the fact that Tospo virusses can be transmitted through seed, allthough all the literature says it's not possible. I doubt that still. Is there any evidence available that it might be transmitted through seed or maybe by mechanical vectors?
there was the same doubt about transmission by seed in potato, but with some trials we could demonstrate that Tospoviruses was transmitted by potato seed.

I faced the same problem with ZYMV as all articles mentioned its not seed transmissible, during 1995-1998 after I test more than 8000 of cucurbit seeds the results was seed transmissible (published 2004), it seems different isolates used from different geographical regions react different
