Cyanobacteria are an ancient group of photosynthetic organisms from different habitats and particularly marine cyanobacteria, are a great resource of bio-active secondary metabolites. These secondary metabolites primarily involved in the adaptation of the Cyanobacteria. These secondary metabolites also show many biological activities, such as antimicrobial, anti-tumor, enzyme inhibition, anti-inflammatory, and other biological activities.But is there any commercialised drug from Cyanobacteria ( other than antioxidants e.g. Phycocyanin)?
I would instinctly suggest spirulina health supplement. Also I've heard about resaerch tryng to replace botox by saxitoxins. I already tried to find infos on the subject, but the only paper i've found is this one (Salopek 2009), mentionning that it has been tested. Maybe from this point you could actually found something in the drug industry?

Since this area of research is not new and thousands of bio active metabolites from cyanobacteria have been characterised and most of them have the potential to prevent diseases and some of them also enter into phase II and phase III of clinical trial. But I didn’t get any drug of specific target of cyanobacterial origin, which is available in the market.
It is a new area of research uptell now no full investigation about any one of them to be a drug

I believe it does not exist yet. As it is a new research area, there was not enough time to complete and validate the entire clinical trial.
Cyanobacteria are a novel and prolific but still an almost untapped source of structurally and functionally diverse compounds with interesting pharmacological bioactivities. Although cyanobacteria are already known as a prolific source of diverse bioactive compounds for many years, they have not been exploited systematically in the past. In addition, the only about 1,000 known compounds from cyanobacteria could often not be provided in sufficient amounts for preclinical tests and beyond due to limited experiences to cultivate the diverse producer strains in larger scales and/or to chemically synthesise the often very complex cyanobaterial Natural Products. However, because of the relatively small number of known cyanobacterial compounds discovered so far (in comparison to the conventional sources of Natural Products like plants, fungi, actinomycetes and myxobacteria), today’s novelty rate of randomly isolated NPs from cyanobacteria is unmatched and with > 80 % far beyond the e.g. 1-10 % novelty rate of plants and fungi. And despite the relative disregard of cyanobacteria in the past compared to conventional NP sources, several cyanobacterial NP have entered clinical trials (especially but not only the potent cyanotoxins, e.g. Dolastatins, Cryptophycins, Toyocamycin, Neosaxitoxin) and one compound group even the market (monomethyl auristatin E and F (MMAE, MMAF) which are derivatives of the cyanobacterial compound group of Dolastatins and payloads of 5 different antibody-drug conjugates on the market). Consequently, one can expect an extraordinary potential for an efficient discovery and development of bioactive compounds from cyanobacteria. And today, prior bottlenecks have been overcome and cyanobacteria are in general fully accessible for biotechnology and bio-based industry and, as the only phototrophic bacteria, also offer highly-efficient, sustainable and scalable industrial production options due to their phototrophic metabolism. These progresses will further increase speed and efficiency of respective drug developments.
