I have access to some HUVECs from LONZA. However, I am considering using an alternative media instead of Lonza EGM Endothelial Cell Growth Medium BulletKit.
Has anyone ever used other media with these cells?
For example, can DMEM/F12 and 10% FBS be a good alternative?
Endothelia need special dedicated media cause theirspecific requirements.
From the question You asked I conclude You need to go through few papers before starting experoiment. The are few alternative endothelial media/suppliers, most are pricey.

The original growth media I used during a long time when I was a student and in my post-doc was IMDM supplemented with 20% Foetal Calf Serum + ECGS/H (Endothelial Growth Supplement + heparin that can be buy at PROMOCELL). This supplement was used during a long time before commercially available media.
DMEM/F12 + 10% FBS it's a high risk bet by formulation. I think a better base media could be MCDB. Regardless, you will need to take care of anti-redox (Ascorbic acid + glutathione), heparin and some buffer for pH. L-glutamine/L-serine supplementation probably will be needed. Growth factors, at least EGF and FGF at 1-10 ng/mL may be also required for consistent growth.
I make my own low-serum media for microvascular endothelial cells and it is not an easy job. Although high serum supplementation can save you the concern for growth factors, lipoproteins and metal balances it could be variable depending on the FBS batch.
