What would be the added value if there is a method that enables the identification of bacteria and directly in case of an E. coli it determines whether it is a O157:H7 or one of the big six serotypes (O26:H11, O45:H2, O103:H2, O111:H8, O121:H19 and O145:H28) that are the most frequently associated with human disease?
