Hi. Am currently doing my research study on dengue virus, looking at the four serotypes of dengue virus and also targeting the non structural protein 5 in one step multiplex pcr.
from what I understand, you want to determine the size of your band ?
Firstly, we can't help you without knowing the marker you used.
Secondly, it looks like your band is barely in the range of your marker so it will be difficult to gauge the size of your band. All you could say is that your band is smaller than the smallest band of your marker.
Thirdly, it is common to add your experiment set up in your question to facilitate the answering by other people on researchgate ;-)
What is the precentage of agarose in your gel, in what buffer did you run it, for how long and at what voltage ?
If you expect bands between a 100 and 200 bp, I would go with at least a 2% gel, run for 45 minutes at 100V in TBE buffer. And use a marker with a 50 bp band.
If you want to accurately determine the size of your band, you can take a TIFF image of your gel and analyze it using Image Lab sofware from biorad.
Is not very clear what you need to be analyzed, I have worked with Dengue virus and would kindly help you elucidate what you need! send me a direct message with your requests!
