Several publications indicate hemolysis levels alter differential expression of a number of miRNAs in human plasma, in some cases up to 40-88% of miRNAs (does anyone have reference to such mouse plasma studies?) I wonder if anyone has done studies/included in their analysis corrections for different RNA expression to the level of hemolysis of mouse(or human) plasma, taking into account those miRNAs that are known to be affected by hemolysis?

Is the A414nm method (together with reporting A541nm & A576nm) sufficient to use, or, are more sophisticated methods such as M.Harboe calculations are necessary to estimate the level of hemolysis?
