We are working ALK+ ALCL. We want to separate the lymphoma T-cells from the normal T-cell population in a blood sample. One option is CD30 whose expression is high in case of lymphoma T-cells but we need something more specific which is completely absent (or atleast negligible) from one of the cells.
If you are after ALK+ ALCL cells, why don't you use anti-ALK antibody?
You should check the and morphology and immunophenotype of primary tumor first. Sometimes you can identify lymphoma cells in peripheral blood smear. ALK+ ALCL usually loss many T-cell markers. You can find an abnormal population with a similar phenotype as primary tumor.
I can not use the anti-ALK antibody Muttuswamy, since we need the cells for further sequencing. I need a surface marker.

I understand your difficulty. In which case you may have to adopt a negative selection on the basis of the phenotype of the lymphoma cells. Do you know the composite phenotype of these cells. If, as mentioned by Chan-Chi, their normal T cell markers are down regulated, you could remove normal T cells using magnetic beads. Of course you may not get a pure population of lymphoma cells but you could concentrate them. Good luck
