I'm looking for methods to separate CD34 cells from frozen cord blood samples.
I'm aware of positive immunomagnetic separation methods, but can anyone recommend alternative such as negative selection method or products?

Miltenyi's MACS is a reference (high recovery rate and purity). Do you have a problem using it?

Not to my knowledge. The CD34 enriched cells are used in human transplantation after clinical scale selection with the same beads as used in the small scale system. The selected cells are suitable for use in a culture down the line.

there is also a company IBA, where they are using Strep-tagged Fab fragment which is CD34 specific. It is a positive cell separation method using their FABian device. But unfortunately, I can´t find the product on their website. Try to ask them.
We were using the CD81 and CD19 selections and it worked well.
