Literature provide functions that aim at predicting defects. However, they do not fit well in all cases in relation to the parameters they depend on.

The reason for the above question is that I have determined defects for a set of software components. I have also verified that existing predicting functions are not suitable for the analyzed software products: therefore I am in the middle to define another function more suitable for these softwares.
