Is there a way to calculate the equivalent dose for vitamin c in rats to be used for quails ?

We are aiming to use vit. c as antioxidant in quails. we are trying to set the effective dose for it. last papers used vit. c mixed with food for quails or vit. c for rats by gavage.

How can we either calculate the effective dose via gavage for quails that equivalent to the dose that mixed with food or the equivalent dose to rats?
