I think that any study to assess the association between illness and risk factors only gives some evidence but not at all the studies are conclusive in a cause-effect relationship. The study that you cite in your question and many others reveals significative association between bacterial vaginosis and neoplasms of the female genitourinary tract, but a significative association doesn’t mean that is a strong association; the Odds Ratio in this studies are too small, and remember that OR value is an index of quantification of the association.

The female population is more than half of the UK’s population.

9 percent of the female population is about 3 million women.

If we suppose that each of the cervical cancer case was involved in bacterial vaginosis then one out of every thousand women having bacterial vaginosis had cervical cancer.

Is there a strong possibility of causal connection between bacterial vagnosis and cervical cancer regarding the data mentioned above?

Recently I took new data into consideration and I think that might be a strong possibility that bacterial vaginosis predisposes to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia

 I think that there is strong connection between bacterial vaginosis and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, but aerobic vaginitis is more frequent than bacterial vaginosis. In my work ,,ASSOCIATION BETWEEN AEROBIC VAGINITIS, BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS AND SQUAMOUS INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION OF LOW GRADE" you can see the connection between two of these.

Probably any kind of infection causing chronic inflammation might cause cancer in different parts of the body.

In my experience  we do found association in between Aerobic vaginitis ,Bacterial vaginosis and squamous intraepithelial  lesions of low grade activity.though in practice Aerobic vaginitis is common than Bacterial vaginosis.
