We are investigating the feasibility of estimating cardiac output (CO) in apparently healthy adult humans from pulse wave analysis-derived mean arterial pressure (MAP) and total peripheral resistance (TPR). In order to validate the CO estimates we would like to acquire a relatively low-cost equipment for non-invasive assessment of CO. In my search I came across USCOM's transthoracic Doppler. But at € 30k, the price tag is out of our reach.

Does anybody have experience with other solutions?
