May I humbly point out that only one reference supplied by Vladimir Kilchitsky in Belarus is peer-reviewed. I am not stating the others are flawed (although I read some of them with considerable trepidation), but I am asking for caution when interpreting the claims. In the peer-reviewed article (the first one in the list of quotes), color doesn't refer to color in foodstuffs. Another drawback in that article is: the statistical analysis is incomplete. There is much more to be looked at in the massive data set. Perhaps some of the statistical outcomes need to be looked at in a more subtle way if the statistical analysis were to be complete.
We have done a study to see if there is a relationship between intake of food colourants, nitrate, nitrite and fats on children body mass index and lipid profile. Please have a look at the attached work.
