if you intend to do elastic "static analysis", you need the static elastic modulus , for which you require the loss factor , delta, then the elastic modulus equals the storage modulus/cos(delta), if delta is small (

I am no expert on storage modulus, but have worked with adhesives. Storage modulus is measured for materials like polymers that have an elastic and viscous component. I suspect for the data you see it reports storage modulus, which is elastic storage modulus, not shear storage modulus. It is likely reported as a static modulus, so would assume it to be equal to the elastic modulus, E, or close to it. The shear modulus, G, is related to the elastic modulus as E/2/(1+poisson ratio). Since poisson ratio is about 0.4 for adhesives, then G = E/2.8. Your relation of modulus/.577 is not correct -that applies to strength, not to modulus.

Thus for your analysis use E = 2.8GPa and G = 1 MPa

While Young’s modulus, which is calculated from the slope of the initial part of a stress-strain curve, is similar conceptually to the storage modulus, they are not the same. Just as shear, bulk and compressive moduli for a material will differ, Young’s modulus will not have the same value as the storage modulus
