I would like to publish 9 page article in Bioinofrmatics. I am looking for a journal that have free article processing charge option or a reasonable cost such as £200-£300.
Is there anyone have a suggestion?

Hi, i would say go for BMC bioinformatics. They also have APC but you can write them email that you won't be able to pay the APC due to some financial reason. Every journal has option to waive off your APC. You may also write an email to bioinformatics mentioning your concern. They might waive of the charges. In my case it had been done by BMC series. They waived of the charges.
If you are a student and your department and your PI is unable to pay it then mention in the email about it and get it waived off. Also attach a letter from your department that they are unable to pay the APC. That will help you alot in getting your APC Charges waived off. Go ahead, All the best👍
Also look Elsevier journals they do not cost any APC's and are SCI indexed as well as Thomas Reuters
