Hello. Can someone help with MIN6 cell culture.
I'm culturing it with DMEM high glucose, 15% FBS, 50uM b-mercaptoethanol, 20mM HEPES an 1% antibiotics, however I fell like cells are growing to slowly. Therefore, I could not perform any experiment yet, while I'm not confortable about cell growth. How much is its proliferation rate? Or even, how many cells should I seed in order to maintain its proliferation?
If someone could give any other tips about how culture this lineage, I appreciate it very much.

The doubling time of MIN6 cells is 48 hours. The supplements that you may add to DMEM (25mM glucose) include 15% FBS, 10mM HEPES, 50uM beta mercaptoethanol, 2mM L-gluramine, 1mM sodium pyruvate and 1% penstrep. The quality of FBS also matters as poor quality FBS will not help.
MIN6 cells love to be in contact. So, when you split cells, seed the cells at 1:3-1:6. They will tend to grow better.
