There have been reports of putative serotypes 6E, 6F, 6G and 6H of S.pneumoniae synthesized in the lab. Are there any reports of these serotypes occurring naturally in nasopharyngeal carriage and in invasive pneumococcal disease such that we can confidently say that serogroup 6 of S.pneumoniae has 8 serotypes?
