Cancer cells were shown to exclusively prefer Aerobic Glycolysis over Mitochondrial oxidation phosphorylation. Well literature has shown several advantages of cancer cell by performing Warburg effect (Macromolecular synthesis, evasion of Apoptosis etc..) But still cancer cell remains sensitive to mitochondrial complex inhibitors (Oligomycin, Retenone), upon treatment shows a sudden drop in cellular ATP level?
Can any one provide justifications?
