The main assumption in single-phase numerical study is considering the nanofluid as a homogenous fluid. However, recent studies recommend that the two-phase flow assumption should be considered for nanofluids, which is more complicated. Is there any factor other than size of nanoparticles to justify this issue?
There are also other realistic models as eulerien and lagrangien models.
Thanks a lot. Now, it is clear that smaller sized, less dense, lighter and more homogeneously distributed nanoparticles with very accurately determined nano fluid properties can be a hypothetical situation wherein one can use single-phase modelling. Could someone suggest some review/ research articles for further reading in this context as well?
