When two cell types in culture are collected from different patients (epithelial cells from one patient with monocytes isolated from a different patient, or one primary cell type paired with a cell line). If these co-cultures are showing increased cytokine and chemokine outputs, is there any chance that the cells are just reacting because the other cell type in culture is from a different person? (Different MHC, etc). Recognition of "self vs nonself"
