I was working with creating an antenna in CST but by adding a new material box above my antenna, I was faced with this error:
The calculation domain is completely filled with metal (PEC). Please check background material settings and layer properties.
My background material has been set to Normal and my new material which I have added has these properties(er=38 , sigma=1.44 S/m).
I appreciate your help in advance.
This may be due to:
1- Some mistake in the port design such that the wave is not entering your structure properly. Rather, the excitation wave is blocked by a conductor. Check if there is some blocking short circuit or conducting wall at the port itself.
2- Problem in the meshing of your port such that the solver sees it as being filled with conductor. Try to use finer mesh.
Note: I did not look at the attached file.
I looked at the attached file and as suggested by Mohammad, the mesh is much too coarse. Your coax dielectric is 70 microns thick and the mesh is about 500 microns across.
Do you really want such low impedance coax? It looks like about 10 ohms.
Did you use automatic meshing? If that failed, then you have to tell it to use a smaller mesh, like 10 times smaller.
