Teaching pronunciation is often a neglected or ignored in English language. Nevertheless, correct pronunciation is without doubt a fundamental feature of successful communication in the English language. One important decision that English language teachers should make is to decide on a pronunciation model. This decision is not an easy one. I want to review the Lingua Franca Core (LFC), a pronunciation model proposed by Jennifer Jenkins which I found very interesting. Is it a good idea to work according to it with teenagers in a public school?
