The project seems interesting. However, metal nitrides are not very easy to synthesize at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. If you can develop a method it will be great.
I guess first you have to find suitable precursors (cation and anion) to react under solution processing to form the nitride compound. Go through some literature. Also, find the phase diagram of the Nitride compound. It may be helpful.
Your project is very attractive however since you have to find a precursor of nitrogen in the liquid state it seems to be a little problematic! The liquid precursor of titanium (TiCl4) is relatively available but working with this material due to its hazards needs to take some safety points into the consideration. Furthermore, I think dimethylformamide could be a good candidate as the liquid precursor of nitrogen for your project.
