Research square asked me to upload a desk rejected article. Then, to view some comments, it asks fee. So, do I have a good to consider it as predatory?
Research Square is a preprint platform, not a publisher. Like other platforms on a private (not institutional) basis, they have to finance their work somehow. ResearchGate gets finances from adverticing, but they also experimented in some countries with payed options. Academia.edu sends me very often proposals to get access to additional data about my publications if I will pay them. I just ignore these offers.
I agree with Dr. R Dick: you just ignore the messages. You have nothing to fear from. They operate a useful ecosystem: "Our mission is to make research communication faster, fairer, and more useful." - Reference: https://www.researchsquare.com/about

Uploading a preprint is for free, but I see that they offer what they call “badges” https://www.researchsquare.com/researchers/badges These badges offer potential improvements: “Adherence to established standards of reporting and ethics facilitates reproducibility and increases transparency, both of which benefit the scientific and broader community. The process of earning a badge for your preprint invariably leads to revisions that improve its overall quality and may ease the efforts of peer reviewers and journal editors in assessing your article.”
Research Square is a prominent provider of author and editorial services. A comprehensive range of tools is provided to assist in the construction and promotion of research endeavors. A wide range of tools is provided to assist users in constructing and promoting their research endeavors. The manuscript that was initially rejected is now being requested for revision and the author is inquiring about the associated service fee. It is inappropriate to label them as predators, as they function as service providers rather than publishers.
