Do we need new research topics besides how do define born globals and why firms become born globals?
I do not think this is running out of steam. But of course it will develeop and evolve further more. For example in the Aspects of using Web 2.0 Application to growth fast and on different markets in the same time is not very clear actualy. Therfore the Web2.0 and the Internationalization process of the SME's is, also due to the rapid evolution of the ICT not clear.
There are still topics to discover, even if the definition of Born Globals in my Opnion quite clear.
Yes, I think that new research topics are needed. Topics studying the impact of social and demographic aspects related with the consequences of those aspects in firms becoming born globals.
We need innovative , new research topics and theories, but many researchers just do recycled research...because it's easy to publish if one works on existing theories.
The definition of Born Global is still not yet 100% accepted by all. we need proper definition of Born Global phenomenon.
