A large public and nonprofit university like Purdue University has purchased Kaplan University, a for-profit and online learning institution, and then made Purdue University Global.

The Purdue University Global offers a large scale online programs throughout the world. It may raise some questions though:

Do you think that it an appropriate approach for a large nonprofit public university to copy a for-profit university model?

Do you think that such an act by Purdue University is detrimental to nonprofit and public higher education?

What may be the impact of Purdue University Global for higher education in general?

Do you think that other nonprofit universities will follow the path of Purdue University for marketing purpose?
