Good afternoon,

I have previously used whole cell lysates to examine the expression of my protein of interest and saw no changes. However, when I fractionate my proteins into nuclear and cytosolic portions, I see my highest treatment group increases expression of my target protein in both the nucleus and cytoplasm. Is it possible that using whole cell lysates to examine protein expression may not be as sensitive to changes as fractionated proteins? If so, are there any articles that have show this? Thank you!
