The thing that confuses me is there are 2 compounds called phosphoethanolamine . The one having P group in second carbon (C-P bound) http://www.chemspider.com/Chemical-Structure.129517.html

And another having phosphoryl group on hydroxy end

Second one seems to be right one to me since it plays role on lipid biosynthesis.

Any insights on the matter?
