if EGFP brightness is considered to be about 33 units, mNG's is about 92. i.e, about 3 times brighter.

Thank you for your reply, that is definitely helpful! Can you confirm the mentioned increase in brightness especially with fusion proteins?

For the antibodies, as far as I can see they are only for IP, not Western Blot. Do you know an antibody working in immunoblot?

but brightness of many FPs are measured mostly in purified form. this is the reason you may not get same brightness as they have mentioned in articles. brightness of an FP in a cell depends on for which protein it's been tagged and cell  compartment/microenvironment. you may have to test n trust rather trusting by data available for purified proteins. alternatively you can find article where this FP is tagged to your protein of interest or if you still not sure about brightness in your case, can think of putting 2x or 3x tags.

i have no idea about antibody availability for western.

From the feedback we have gotten so far, mNG usually does give a noticeably brighter signal as a fusion tag compared with eGFP.

The mNG-nAb antibody works very well for IP but we have not tested it for western blot. Most nanobodies tend not to work very well for western, though, probably because they recognize the natively folded protein rather than denatured protein. 

 I do not have access to a mass spectrometer, so I have to do Westen Blot. And I also heard about the bad performance of nanobodies in immunoblot.

I am just surprised, that I did not find any reference except "A bright monomeric green fluorescent protein derived from Branchiostoma lanceolatum" for mNG.
